  SIP Trainer Wayne Gustafson, DMin, LMHC, is offering Individual/Group consultation packages during January/February and July/August annually by zoom.

  Consultation is for those who have completed Level 1 and Level 2 SIP Training and are pursuing ACPE SIP Certification.

  This program is not available for NBCC credit.

  This consultation package includes

  • A total of 10-14 hours of consultation, schedule determined by participants.  
  • 4 individual consultation sessions
  • 2-hour group consultation sessions (groups include 3-5 participants, and the number of group sessions depends on the number of participants)
  • One Individual or group session will be scheduled each week.
  • Each participant will have four opportunities to present cases (using the template from SIP Courses 2.4 and 2.5).

  Cost: $600 for the full package no matter how many groups take place.

  The SIP training program is a multi-disciplinary, inter-spiritual, multi-racial community of persons gathered for education, connection, and formation in the work of spiritually integrated psychotherapy.   What is the Spiritual Care Specialist Training Program?

  People practicing in care ministries, whether professional or volunteer positions, sometimes find themselves at a loss as to how to respond to the kinds of problems around which their care-receivers are seeking help. Addiction, mental health challenges, trauma, and domestic violence are only a few issues that may require a mental health perspective. 

  The Spiritual Care Specialist Training teaches people engaged in ministries of care to integrate knowledge
  and skills from the behavioral health field into their work in order to perform their caregiving more
  effectively, ethically, and safely.

  Have you ever wanted to learn more about these kinds of issues and build your repertoire of helping skills, so that you can provide a more competent and confident ministry of care? ACPE’s Spiritual Care Specialist training program supports people working in all manner of caring ministries to do their work more effectively, ethically, and safely.

  This intensive format offering of the program consists of two phases: the 1st Phase consists of pre-recorded self-paced modules with assigned homework (28 hours). The 2nd Phase consists of scheduled live group sessions consisting of 20 hours. Phase 1 can be started anytime before the live sessions begin.

  Phase 1: Self-Paced Material (28 hours)

  In addition to the live sessions, students will be required to watch pre-recorded lectures (16 hours total) at a time that is convenient for them, but encouraged to keep pace with the corresponding material of the live sessions. The final 12 hours consist of homework assignments and personal reflection exercises that are also self-paced. No additional books are required and all materials will be provided. Newly enrolled students are able to access the self-paced material immediately in advance if they sign up early before the live sessions.

  Phase 2: Live Sessions (20 hours)

  Sessions will be conducted by Zoom. Students must have access to a computer with an internet connection in order to participate. Students must attend all sessions in order to finish the program requirements.

  This training introduces Whole Person Integration (WPI) as an integrative framework for case conceptualization in counseling. Grounded in contemporary research across neurobiological, psychological, relational, and spiritual domains, the model provides clinicians with a multidimensional lens for understanding client functioning and distress. Participants will explore how physiological regulation, cognitive-emotional processes, attachment dynamics, and meaning-making systems interact to shape mental health outcomes. Emphasis is placed on translating this framework into practical clinical application, equipping counselors with a coherent structure for assessment, intervention planning, and ethically grounded integration of spirituality within treatment
  

  Learning Objectives:

  As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to

  1. Participants will be able to identify and describe the four primary domains of Whole Person Integration (physiological, psychological, relational, and spiritual) and their relevance to mental health.

  2. Participants will be able to explain the interaction between neurobiological regulation, emotional processing, and relational dynamics in the development and maintenance of psychological symptoms.

  The SIP training program is a multi-disciplinary, inter-spiritual, multi-racial community of persons gathered for education, connection, and formation in the work of spiritually integrated psychotherapy. It serves licensed and pre-licensed mental health professionals (i.e., counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, pastoral counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and more), as well as graduate students in any of those disciplines who seek to explore the ways spirituality, religion, and the search for meaning influence their own lives and the lives of their clients. 

  The 15-hour Training includes the following 3-hour courses:

  • Course 2.2 Working with Harmful Spirituality and Religion
  • Course 2.3 Spirituality and Belief System of the Therapist
  • Course 2.4 Spiritually Integrated Case Conceptualization, Part 1

  ACPE SIP Training Cancellation Policy

  Registrants for ACPE SIP trainings may cancel their registration up to 24 hours before the training begins. There is a $100 cancellation fee. The request for registrant refund must be approved by the SIP trainer.
