Marion Williams

 Bio:

Marion Williams MA, LPC, NCC, REAT is a licensed professional counselor in the State of Connecticut, a Pastoral Counselor and an Expressive Arts Therapist. A graduate of General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church and Fordham University where she studied Mental Health and Pastoral Counseling, she also holds a certificate in Creative Arts Therapies from the New School for Social Research. An ordained Interfaith Minister, she has worked in the non-profit and social justice fields using art as a vehicle for community healing, and for spiritual direction in parish settings.

Marion says: “Since ancient times, humans have communicated with the divine, and each other, through the expressive arts.  Employing simple easy to access drawing and meditation techniques, participants in the training will be invited to take part in expressive art group exercises. No prior art experience is required -- curiosity and willingness to join in are all that’s needed.”

Content & Course Format:

Marion’s classes meet over Zoom and are primarily live with a bit of self-directed study.  She draws upon creative methods for learning (accessible drawing, meditation techniques, and more).
