Tres Adames

Bio: Tres Adames, MDiv, BCPC, is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). He holds a Master of Divinity from Wesley Biblical Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts from Asbury University. An active member of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), he helped pilot and now trains leaders in ACPE’s Spiritual Care Specialist program, which equips caregivers to provide ethical, spiritually informed mental health support. He is also ordained through the Federation of Christian Ministries. |

A native of Phoenix, Tres shares life with his spouse of seven years, a cat, and an English bulldog. Outside his practice, he pursues physical and intellectual balance through weightlifting, rucking, reading, writing, and creative work — embracing the classical ideal of cultivating both body and mind.
Tres says: “I know that everyone’s journey is unique, and I strive to meet you where you are. Whether you’re looking to integrate faith into your care, are spiritual but not religious, or don't identify as a person of faith at all, we’ll focus on practical steps for healing.”

Content & Course Format:
Tres’ program emphasizes flexibility (with 28 hours of self-paced online modules) as well as required group classes (20 hours live online). His material may expand upon the core curriculum by also covering the following topics:
Course Format
This intensive format offering of the program consists of two phases: the 1st Phase consists of pre-recorded self-paced modules with assigned homework (28 hours). The 2nd Phase consists of scheduled live group sessions consisting of 20 hours. Phase 1 can be started anytime before the live sessions begin.
Phase 1: Self-Paced Material (28 hours)
In addition to the live sessions, students will be required to watch pre-recorded lectures (16 hours total) at a time that is convenient for them, but encouraged to keep pace with the corresponding material of the live sessions. The final 12 hours consist of homework assignments and personal reflection exercises that are also self-paced. No additional books are required and all materials will be provided. Newly enrolled students are able to access the self-paced material immediately in advance if they sign up early before the live sessions.
Phase 2: Live Sessions (20 hours)
Sessions will be conducted by Zoom. Students must have access to a computer with an internet connection in order to participate. Students must attend all sessions in order to finish the program requirements.
