Dr. Myron Krys (Dr. MK), PhD, LCPC, MDiv (he/him), is a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, scholar, and speaker. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois, he practices at The Depth Collective, where his clinical focus includes helping clients navigate executive functioning challenges, complex and theological trauma, and identity, relationship, and intimacy wounds—particularly among people holding multiple marginalized identities.

Dr. MK is the creator of the Identity Reclamation Project, a clinical and pastoral initiative that examines how identity is masked by familial, religious, and cultural systems and equips care providers to co-journey with individuals as they reclaim their voice and boldly embrace life and love on their own terms. Its centerpiece, the 5Rs of Self-Reclamation Framework (Recognize, Release, Reclaim, Redesign, Receive), guides them from survival to wholeness.

A 2023–2025 Louisville Institute Postdoctoral Fellow, Dr. MK has taught at the Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago and Union Theological Seminary, bringing psychology and theology into conversation around sexuality, interfaith-focused spiritual care, liberation, and healing.

Outside his professional work, he serves as president of Pathfinders Toastmasters, enjoys museums and chai tea, and has been known to randomly break into song when a single word in conversation triggers the right lyric.
