Join us for the 2026 Spirituality Summit, a full-day virtual learning experience exploring the intersection of spirituality, mental health, ethics, technology, wellness, and clinical practice.

This year’s Summit brings together five presenters for engaging sessions designed to help mental health professionals deepen their understanding of spiritually integrated care and translate that understanding into thoughtful, culturally responsive clinical practice.

Throughout the day, participants will explore whole-person approaches to case conceptualization, the ethical use of artificial intelligence in spiritually integrated psychotherapy, spiritual wellness and self-care, the role of spiritual practices in mental health, and approaches for supporting clients who have experienced religious trauma.

Choose the option that works best for you! Register for the full-day experience for $150, or select individual per webinars for $35 each.

Members: Free with registration code will be emailed to ACPE members

Non-Members: $35 per webinar or $150 for the full Summit

Description:

Many people find hope, healing, and community in the context of religion. Sadly, religion can also be a source of great pain, trauma, and anguish. The impacts of religious trauma are both widespread and personal. Religious trauma can affect all dimensions of an individual’s life and have significant impacts on mental health and overall wellbeing. Often, religious trauma is not a single event, but rather a cumulation of exposure to and involvement in abusive, manipulative, coercive, and forceful religious environments that contribute to adverse psychological, emotional, and communal effects. And while these experiences have various outcomes, it is normal for people to want to redefine meaning and spirituality in their lives after religious trauma. Holding space for this process and exploring spirituality is just as much a part of the journey!

Learning Objectives:

As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to

1.      Participants will define and recognize symptoms of religious trauma.

2.      Participants will increase understanding of retraumatization risks.

3.      Participants will identify personal biases and issues of countertransference.

4.    Participants will learn ways to work with and treat clients with religious trauma from diverse populations.
